West Bromwich Albion – Manchester United

West Bromwich Albion hosts Manchester United in a match from the 18th round of the English Premier League.

West Bromwich are currently 17th in the Premier League having won 14 points so far. They have a record of two wins, eight draws and seven losses. They are on par with the 18th Crystal Palace, so they surely need to start win more points on a regular basis, if they want to survive. In their last five matches West Bromwich lost just once – against Swansea, but they also failed to win even once. In their last match they made a 0-0 draw against Liverpool during the visit to the Anfield.

Manchester United are 2nd in the Premier League with 38 points and a trailing of 11 points behind the leader Manchester City. The Red Devils have a record of 12 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses so far. They were closer to City, but the loss against the Citizens at the Old Trafford really put United in a much worse position than they were. Now Manchester City are the team which looks as a main contender for the title.

But while there’s hope, United will keep fighting. Jose Mourinho’s team have an advantage of just 3 points ahead of the 3rd Chelsea, so keeping the 2nd place is also an important goal for them. In the last round of the league Manchester United enjoyed a difficult 1-0 win over Bournemouth at home.

West Bromwich will be without the injured James Morrison and Craig Dawson, while Gareth Barry, Matthew Phillips and Nacer Chadli are doubtful for the next game.

Meanwhile Manchester United still can’t use the suspended Paul Pogba, while Eric Bailly remains injured. Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini are still doubtful for the next game and Jose Mourinho doesn’t know if he’d be able to use them.
