Udinese – Roma

Udinese welcomes Roma in a match from the 13th round of the Italian Serie A. This game is going to be played at the Dacia Arena in Udine on Saturday afternoon.

Udinese are not in a very good position at the moment. The Bianconeri are 17th in the league standings, being just on par with the 18th Empoli and the relegation zone. Udinese’s record so far shows 2 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses.

In their last five matches Udinese are without a win. They have one draw and four defeats. Their only point was won during the 2-2 draw with Genoa. In the other four matches they suffered losses against Juventus, Napoli, Milan and Empoli.

The game against Empoli was important, because they are one of Udinese’s competitors for survival. At the Stadio Carlo Castellani Empoli achieved a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Miha Zajc and Francesco Caputo. Ignacio Pussetto scored Udinese’s only goal in the game, but this was not enough.

Roma are 6th in the Serie A with 19 points won and a record of 5 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats. We can’t say that the Wolves are as consistent as they would want to at the moment. Roma’s goal is to finish in the Top 4, but right now they are 3 points behind the 4th Lazio.

In the previous round Roma enjoyed a stellar 4-1 win over Sampdoria at the Olimpico. Juan Jesus, Patrik Shick and a brace from Stephan El Shaarawy made Eusebio Di Francesco’s team victorious. Before this, Roma were in a run of three consecutive games without a win in the league.

Although they are playing away from home, Roma are favourites in this game. Udinese have a chance, but so far they are not performing well in the league.
