Sheffield United – Manchester United

One of the pleasant surprises of the season Sheffield United hosts Manchester United at the Bramall Lane in a game from the 13th round of the Premier League.

Nobody really expected such a performance from Sheffield United. The Blades are currently 5th in the league with 17 points, which is much more than we thought they could do after the first 12 rounds. Sheffield United’s current record looks like this: 4 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses. They have fewer amount of defeats than their next opponent Manchester United, which is impressive.

In terms of current form, the Blades are doing very well. They are unbeaten in their last five matches. In the previous round Sheffield United had a tough visit to Tottenham Hotspur in London, but they managed to win a point after a 1-1 draw. Son put Spurs ahead, but George Baldok equalised for the visitors.

Manchester United are currently 7th in the Premier League with 16 points won so far. The Red Devils have a current record of 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats – perfect balance, just like Thanos would say.

Manchester United are coming off a win in their last game. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys hosted Brighton & Hove Albion and celebrated a 3-1 win at the Old Trafford. Andreas Pereira, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford scored for the home side.

For the difficult visit to Bramall Lane Manchester United will be without Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who are injured. Diogo Dalot and Eric Bailly remain sidelined as well.

Winning the league is not possible anymore, but if Manchester United want to do something more significant this season, they don’t have a choice – they must find a consistent form and keep winning. But in Sheffield United they have a tough opponent for their next fixture, there’s no doubt about that.
