Real Sociedad – Real Madrid
The kings are back because on Sunday Real Madrid will start their season in the Spanish La Liga. Los Blancos will pay a visit to Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena and we all expect a terrific game between these two teams.
For Real Madrid it was a surprisingly quiet summer. Los Blancos didn’t make any moves on the transfer market deciding to stick with the players they’ve got. The only exception is the Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard who came back at the Bernabeu after a loan spell at Real Sociedad.
The manager Zinedine Zidane has the luck to work with a very talented squad at the moment. Probably the best thing about Real Madrid at the moment is the mixture between young and experienced players in the dressing room. Los Blancos have exciting talents such as Vinicius, Rodrygo, Valverde and Odegaard, but also experienced warriors like Ramos, Kroos, Modric and Benzema. Meanwhile the club is getting ready to say goodbye to Gareth Bale who is going back to England.
Real Sociedad are usually starting the season with ambitions for an European qualification. The Basques also have a decent squad to work with. The club’s summer signing is arguably the legendary David Silva who came back to Spain after a long spell at Manchester City. Everybody is impatient to watch Silva again in La Liga.
Real Sociedad’s manager Imanol Alguacil has some problems before this game. Some of his players are recovering from injuries, including David Silva. The rest are Nacho Monreal, Zaldua, Willian Jose, Illarramendi and Martin Zubimendi.
That’s our preview of the La Liga fixture between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid on Sunday. Real Sociedad started their season with a draw against Real Valladolid away from home, while for Madrid this is a first match for the new campaign. Are they in a condition good enough to start with a win?
