Manchester United – Liverpool
The Old Trafford in Manchester is ready for a spectacle, because the two biggest clubs in England – Manchester United and Liverpool, are about to face each other in another edition of the most fierceful rivalry in the history of the country.
The game on Sunday night is equally important for both clubs. After winning five games in a row in the Premier League, Manchester United are one again aiming for a place in the Top 4 and a spot in the Champions League for next season. The Red Devils are just three points behind Manchester City and the 4th spot, so Manchester United still have a lot to play for.
Liverpool on the other hand are one of the strongest contenders to win the Premier League title this season. Jurgen Klopp’s team is just five points behind the leader Chelsea, so everyone at Anfield knows how important is to win the derby at the Old Trafford on Sunday. Especially with Chelsea being so consistent in their performance and rarely losing points.
Jose Mourinho can’t use the injured Marcos Rojo, while Luke Shaw is also doubtful for the game. The good news come from the recovery of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is expected to start against Liverpool. This is great news for the manager Jose Mourinho, because Ibrahimovic proved himself to be a great addition to the squad.
Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp will be without the services of Danny Ings and Cameron Brannagan, while Joel Matip and Marko Grujic are also sidelined. But we could say that all of the Liverpool’s key players are avaliable for the game.
In October these two teams met at The Anfield and the game ended with a 0-0 draw. After the clash United’s manager Jose Mourinho was heavily criticized for his defensive approach. Let’s see how we will act now, when his team is about to perform in front of its own fans.
