Manchester United – Arsenal

It’s going to be fascinating at the Old Trafford on Monday, because Manchester United will host Arsenal in one of England’s greatest derbies. This is a match from the seventh round of the Premier League.

So far for Manchester United it looks like the same season as the previous one. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is not as consistent as the fans would like to see. Right now the Red Devils are 8th in the league standings with 8 points won, being already 10 points behind the leader Liverpool.

In the same time United are just three points behind the fourth Arsenal, so for them it’s going to be very important to beat the Gunners on Monday.

During the week Manchester United barely qualified for the next round in the Carabao Cup, winning against Rochdale after penalties at the Old Trafford. The regular time ended with a 1-1 draw. Marcus Greenwood opened the score for the hosts, but Luke Matheson equalised for Rochdale. As expected, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer used many young and backup players for this game.

As we said, Arsenal are fourth in the league with 11 points won so far. The Gunners would like to win at the Old Trafford, so they could keep their place in the Top 4 and eventually even climb up in the standings.

During the week Arsenal enjoyed a third consecutive win in all competitions. Unai Emery’s team hosted Nottingham Forest at the Emirates and crushed the former European champions with 5-0. The 18-years old Brazilian striker Martinelli scored a brace for Arsenal, while Rob Holding, Joseph Willock and Reiss Nelson also scored for the hosts.

Both managers gave a break to their stars during the week, so we think that Manchester United and Arsenal will offer us a very exciting clash at the Theatre of Dreams on Monday. We hope we won’t be dissapointed at the end.
