Leicester City – Manchester City

Leicester City hosts Manchester City in a match from the 12th round of the English Premier League.

Leicester are currently 12th in the Premier League standings. They have a record of three wins, four draws and four losses so far. In the same time they are unbeaten in two games since the new manager Claude Puel was appointed by the club’s board. In his debut Puel managed to lead the team to success over Everton and in the next one The Foxes made a draw against Stoke City away from home.

Now Leicester will have a tough task against Manchester City – the convincing leader in the Premier League. So far Pep Guardiola’s team is nearly perfect, having won 10 of its 11 games so far. City have 31 points and and 8 points advantage in front of the second Manchester United. So far The Citizens are looking unstoppable in the league. Can Leicester do something to change that?

The home team will be without the injured defender Robert Huth, while Benjamin Chilwell, Vicente Iborra and Matthew James are doubtful for the clash, because of injuries.

Manchester City’s manager Josep Guardiola can’t use the suspended Nicolas Otamendi, while Benjamin Mendy is out until the end of the season with a serious knee injury. Some injury problems are troubling Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph, so their participation in this match is still not certain.

Of course, Manchester City are the big favourite here. The Citizens are playing some amazing football at the moment, dominating their opponents with an ease. If they continue like this, it’d be a miracle if they don’t win the title this season.

In same time we shall respectthe fact that Leicester are unbeaten in their last five games. The Foxes are in a good form lately, but can they hold a team like Manchester City?
