Leicester City – Everton

Leicester City hosts Everton in a match from the 10th round of the English Premier League.

Leicester are currently 14th in the Premier League standings, having 9 points so far and a record of two wins, three draws and four losses. In their last game The Foxes managed to achieve an important win away to Swansea, winning with 2-1.

This match will be an official debut for Leicester’s new manager – Claude Puel. The Frenchman was appointed after the club decided to sack Craig Shakespeare. Puel already has some experience in English football, managing another club in the elite – Southampton.

Everton are also expecting the arrival of a new manager. Against Leicester they will be led by the caretaker David Unsworth. It’s still not clear who will take the job after the sacking of Ronald Koeman. For David Unsworth this is going to be a first game as a caretaker of the team.

Everton started new the season in a terrible way. They are currently 18th in the Premier League standings with just 8 points won so far and a record of two wins, two draws and five defeats. In their last five matches they managed to win just once – against Bournemouth at home.

Let’s have a look at the team news before this clash.

Leicester can’t use the injured Robert Huth and Matthew James, who are still not avaliable for The Foxes because of injuries.

Everton will be without the suspended Idrissa Gana Gueye, while Ross Barkley, Ramiro Mori and Yannick Bolasie are injured. The good news are that Seamus Coleman is now fit and ready to come back in play.

The situation is more difficult for Everton than it is for Leicester. The club is still without a manager and this is something which can’t be neglected as a factor in this clash. In same time, Claude Puel will aim to start his career at Leicester with a win.
