Juventus – Real Madrid

The wait is finally over! Real Madrid and Juventus will meet in Cardiff in face each other for the most important trophy in European football – the Champions League.

Real Madrid are the current holders of the trophy and they are very close to another historic achievement – to become the first clubi in history, who manages to defend its crown in this competition. If they manage to beat Juventus, they will win the trophy for 12th time in their spectacular history.

Juventus on the other hand are chasing their first Champions League triumph since 1996. It was 21 years ago, when The Old Lady beat Ajax for the trophy after a dramatic penalty shoot-out in Rome. Since then, Juve played in four finals – against Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Milan and Barcelona, but lost them all. Now they are eager to stop this terrible run and take the trophy to Turin once again.

Both teams dominated their domestic leagues, winning the gold medals in Serie A and La Liga. They were also flawless in the Champions League, eliminating really strong teams during the knock-out phase of the tournament. But the job is not done just yet. There’s one more step to make – the most important one.

We could say that this is the battle between Real Madrid’s impressive attack and Juventus’ spectacular defense. The Italian team have conceded just three goals from the beginning of the competition, which is amazing in every possible way. But how they are going to deal with Real Madrid’s offensive power, led by the amazing Cristiano Ronaldo? It won’t be easy for sure.
