Chelsea – Swansea City

The current leader Chelsea welcomes Swansea City at the Stamford Bridge in London in a game from the 26th round of the English Premier League.

Even with losing two points against Burnley in the last round of the Premier League, Chelsea remain the strongest contender for the Premier League title this season. The Blues still have an 8 point advantage in front of Manchester City, so it’s going to be really surprising if they fail to win the league this year.

It was the second time in three games in which Chelsea loses points, including their visit to Liverpool. The home against Swansea is a great opportunity for the Blues to show their true strenght once again and underline their ambition to dominate the league this season.

Swansea on the other hand have a totally different goals this year. The Swans are just 4 points above the relegation zone in the Premier League, so they are still in the battle for survival. The Welsh team changed a few managers since the start of the new campaign, so it’s difficult to say that they are enjoying any kind of stability this season. The Swans beat Leicester in the last round of the league and enjoyed a breath of fresh air, but they are far from safe.

Antonio Conte’s biggest problem before this game is related to the condition of the Brazilian central defender David Luiz. He’s still recovering from a knee injury and it’s not clear yet if he’s going to be able to participate against Swansea. But it’s safe to say that Antonio Conte has enough options to cover his absence.

The away team will be without the services of two players – Nathan Dyer and Jefferson Montero, who are still injured. Leon Britton and Modou Barrow remain doubtful for the visit to Stamford Bridge.
