This is a fixture from the 28th round of the Bundesliga and it’s a crucial game in the title race. As it stands now, Bayern Munich are leading the table with 61 points, but Borussia Dortmund follow just four points behind. For Die Borussen it’s going to be really important to win here, while a win for Bayern Munich could be the end of the title race.
Borussia Dortmund’s manager Lucien Favre could be happy with the way his team responded after the two months COVID-19 break. Die Borussen won twice against Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg, scoring six goals and keeping two clean sheets. Surely this is going to give Dortmund some important confidence before facing the reigning champion on Tuesday.
Dortmund’s captain Marco Reus is still sidelined with an injury, while Schulz, Zagadou and Witsel are not avaliable as well.
Just like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich won twice after the restart of the league. Hansi Flick’s team didn’t face any problems against Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring seven goals for 180 minutes of time.
On Saturday the champions hosted Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena and did the job perfectly. Goretzka, Muller, Lewandowski and Davies scored for Bayern Munich, while Eintracht’s Hinteregger scored himself an own goal.
Hansi Flick still have some injuried players he can’t rely on. This includes Thiago Alcantara, Coutinho, Tolisso and Sule. They will miss the derby on Tuesday.
