Bayern Munich – Hertha BSC

The champion Bayern Munich faces Hertha BSC at the Allianz Arena in a game from the third week of the Bundesliga. What the Bavarians will try to do is react to their bad 1-4 loss against Hoffenheim last week. For the visitors it won’t be an easy fixture in the Bavarian capital, that’s for sure.

In their second game in the Bundesliga Bayern Munich surprisngly crumbled against Hoffenheim and suffered a 1-4 loss at the PreZero Arena. This is not a reason to panic, of course – Bayern had a game for the European Super Cup just few days earlier and there was some lack of freshness.

On Wednesday Bayern Munich won the German Super Cup as well. Hansi Flick’s team faced Borussia Dortmund and celebrated a 3-2 win at home. It was a 2-2 draw until the 82th minute when Joshua Kimmich scored the winner for FC Hollywood. Before him Tolisso and Muller scored for the Bavarians.

Hertha BSC started the new season in the Bundesliga in the exactly the same way as Bayern Munich – with one win and one loss in the games so far. Right now the Old Lady is 9th in the league with 3 points.

In their last game Hertha lost for a first time this season. The Berliners hosted Eintracht Frankfurt in the capital, but the visitors managed to take a 3-1 win.

Arne Maier and Mathew Leckie remain injured for Hertha BSC, while in Bayern’s camp David Alaba, Leroy Sane and Tanguy Nianzou have some problems with their fitness.

That’s our preview for the Bundesliga game between Bayern Munich and Hertha BSC at the Allianz Arena on Sunday. It’s really hard to imagine that Bayern could make a wrong step in two consecutive games in the Bundesliga. But in the same it’s not something entirely impossible. Let’s see what Hertha have to offer here.
